They are celebrated throughout the month of June in honor of Saint Anthony, Saint John, and Saint Peter, and are deeply connected to family recipes, harvest season, and the culture of gathering.

A seasonal menu: The flavors of the Brazilian winter

Linked to the harvest, Junina cuisine is characterized by ingredients such as corn, cassava, peanuts, and coconut in its dishes, and at this year’s event, you’ll be able to sample dishes specific to this time of year, as well as the great classics of Brazilian cuisine such as picanha skewers with fried cassava, cachorro quente (the traditional Brazilian hot dog), caramelized apples, and homemade corn, peanut, chocolate, and fubá cakes.
