That’s exactly what’s going to happen this weekend in Buenos Aires, when actress Blanca Oteyza —best known for the theatrical phenomenon *El diario de Adán y Eva*—returns to the stages of Buenos Aires to present *Margarita Xirgu*. An actress between two continents.
With just four performances from Friday, August 14, through Monday, August 17, the play offers a moving journey through memory and the bond between Spain and Argentina. The event takes place at the Palacio Libertad, with free admission.

Margarita Xirgu was an absolute legend of the theater. The undisputed muse of Federico García Lorca —who premiered masterpieces such as *Yerma* and *La casa de Bernarda Alba*—she adopted Argentina as her second home after going into exile from Spain.
As a Catalan, she found her artistic haven in Buenos Aires at the Casal de Catalunya. She performed there on numerous occasions and left such a profound mark that the historic venue on Chacabuco Street in San Telmo now bears her name.

Blanca Oteyza returns to the stages of Buenos Aires, where she was an iconic figure in the city’s theater and television scenes during the 1990s and 2000s. And she does so with a very special project: a play about Margarita Xirgu that connects directly with her own life.
The reason for this parallel is simple: both are actresses born in Spain who crossed the ocean, built their careers in Buenos Aires, and ultimately came to regard Argentina as their second home. In addition, the 60-minute production features live music by bandoneonist Julio Coviello.

Admission to see *Margarita Xirgu: An Actress Between Two Continents* is free, but requires advance online reservation until the venue’s available capacity is reached .
Tickets go on sale on the Palacio Libertad’s official website two days before each performance, starting at 2:00 p.m. (up to two tickets per person may be purchased).
