A city as big as Buenos Aires is full of beautiful restaurants, cafes, and bars where you can have a good time with friends, including some surprising themed bars. But to truly enjoy Buenos Aires, a nice bar with a terrace isn’t enough. It’s worth going up a few more floors to discover where Buenos Aires’ rooftop bars are.
Crystal Bar at the Alvear Icon Hotel

Crystal Bar is the rooftop bar at the Alvear Icon, the tallest hotel in Puerto Madero. The bar is located on the 32nd floor, so the view of the river and the ecological reserve is unparalleled. With a style that’s both classic and modern, its cocktail menu is extensive, and the accompanying dishes are a perfect match (salmon ceviche or any of its veggie bruschettas).
📅 Open from 6:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Closed Mondays. Reservations required
Bestial Fly Bar

Bestial Skybar is Palermo’s rooftop bar. Located on the 11th floor, its cocktail menu stands out for the originality of its drinks and the combination of its ingredients, but also for pairing its cocktails with appetizers and small plates that blend the best of local ingredients with the sophistication of international cuisine. One of the city’s best rooftop bars, right in the heart of Palermo.

Plaza de Mayo Viewpoint
Rooftop Plaza de Mayo is located on Avenida de Mayo on the 8th floor. Its location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of the historic district, surrounded by domes and historic buildings that, at night, illuminated by the neighboring buildings and the Mirador itself, create an ideal setting for events and unforgettable evenings. Mirador Plaza de Mayo is not open to the general public: it offers themed nights featuring jazz, opera galas, and electro tango. There’s always a themed night to enjoy with a cocktail, great music, and the best rooftop bar in downtown Buenos Aires.

Florida 165

The Florida 165 rooftop bar is special; it has two excellent features that make it one of the best rooftop bars in Buenos Aires. First, it’s located inside the Galería Güemes—if you’re not familiar with it, it’s a beautiful building in the Montserrat neighborhood —and knowing you’re heading to the top of its dome makes the journey feel mysterious, to say the least. And second, this rooftop bar has really good desserts. A cocktail and something sweet—a great combination.
📅 Open daily from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Alvear Roof Bar

The Alvear Roof Bar is the open -air terrace bar at the Alvear Palace Hotel. Just like the hotel it’s located in, this rooftop bar is sophisticated and elegant, and from the 11th floor, it offers one of the best views of Recoleta, the river, and an unparalleled sunset in the heart of the city. A perfect and elegant setting, excellent signature cocktails with delicious food, and nights of house music make the Alvear Roof Bar one of the top choices for those looking to spend an evening at one of the best rooftop bars in Buenos Aires.

Trade Sky Bar

The Trade Sky Bar is probably one of the best rooftop bars in Buenos Aires for many reasons—not only because it’s on the list of the 50 best rooftop bars to discover in Argentina, but also because it’s one of the highest vantage points from which to view Buenos Aires: The Trade Sky Bar is on the 19th floor of Corrientes Avenue. In addition to exclusive cocktails and drinks, its menu features 100% plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. Literally touching the sky.
📅 Open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Salon 1923
Salón 1923 is the rooftop bar at the Palacio Barolo, and while it offers excellent drinks and superb cuisine to complement its incredible view of Avenida de Mayo and the entire downtown area—the heart of Buenos Aires—the truth is that the experience of visiting Salón 1923 begins at the entrance to the Palacio Barolo. Entering this imposing building—which represents Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy in architectural form—riding its early 20th-century elevators up 14 floors, and then continuing up two more floors via its spiral staircase to a truly impressive terrace on the 16th floor. If that doesn’t make it one of the best rooftop bars in Buenos Aires, I don’t know what does.
📅 Open Wednesday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight
Cielo Sky Bar

Cielo Sky Bar is the rooftop bar at the Grand Brizo Hotel, overlooking downtown Buenos Aires. It’s one of the best rooftop bars for being close to the Obelisk and Corrientes Avenue —you can head out after seeing a movie or a play knowing there’s a bar with a terrace nearby to end the night. At Cielo Sky Bar, there’s a minimum drink charge that’s then deducted from your order, and every night there’s live music with a DJ.
📅 Open Wednesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to midnight
Maldini

Maldini is a beach bar right in the heart of Buenos Aires. It doesn’t actually have a beach or sand, but the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re by the sea. The hot nights at this terrace bar in Buenos Aires aren’t about the heat—they’re about drinks, music, dancing, and lots of fun. It undoubtedly deserves a spot among the best rooftop bars in Buenos Aires.
📅Open daily from 11 a.m.

Excellent signature cocktails and an unbeatable atmosphere.
