Starting in July, the paths of the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden will light up to make way for fantastical creatures in the first immersive Alice in Wonderland experience. Discover the Botanical Garden at night and immerse yourself in the world of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat in a unique experience in Buenos Aires.
Maravillosa Alicia is the new immersive nighttime experience coming to Buenos Aires starting July 2, 2026. This immersive experience will transform winter nights into a unique sensory journey that combines light installations, monumental sets, surround sound, and interactive technology.
What is the tour like through the Alice in Wonderland experience at the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden?
Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s famous work, this nighttime tour of the Botanical Garden will feature 12 immersive installations distributed along the garden’s paths. Each space will have its own visual identity and recreate the book’s most iconic moments and characters:
- The White Rabbit and his race against time.
- The Queen of Hearts’Garden.
- The Mad Tea Party.
- The Cheshire Cat’s smile.
- A giant chess game.
This Alice experience is designed to evolve as you progress. Through challenges, optical illusions, and interactive effects, you’ll create and experience a completely different and personalized journey
An interactive guide to discovering Alice at the Botanical Garden
Maravillosa Alicia will also feature ALI, a narrative guide who will accompany you throughout the entire tour directly via WhatsApp. You won’t need to download apps or rent devices because you’ll receive clues and unlock challenges right on your own cell phone.
How to enjoy Alice in Wonderland
For younger children, the experience will be designed without the need for screens or complicated reading. Additionally, all stations will include content in Argentine Sign Language (LSA), signage with pictograms, and an acoustic and visual design free of strobe lights or intrusive sounds, making the experience suitable for people with sensory hypersensitivity.
