From 2026, the Trambus T1 will be the first electric bus branch to connect Nueva Pompeya with Aeroparque, crossing key neighborhoods and significantly reducing travel times. We tell you when it will start running and its complete route.
Aeroparque and Buenos Aires South zone connected from 2026 by the Trambus: Faster routes, green wave and discounts with the SUBE
Fully electric, sustainable and with exclusive lane, the Trambus T1 aims to become a fast and efficient alternative to connect Buenos Aires without having to go through the Microcentro and connect with the Costanera Norte and Aeroparque. The T1 branch will connect the southern area of Buenos Aires with Aeroparque, passing through the neighborhoods of Parque Patricios, Boedo, Parque Chacabuco, Almagro, Caballito, Villa Crespo and Palermo. The route will cross transversally the geographic center of Buenos Aires, facilitating trips that today require many combinations.
In addition to connecting the South zone with Aeroparque, the T1 Trambus will have an exclusive lane, which will allow a more fluid and predictable circulation, even during high demand hours.
From Nueva Pompeya to Aeroparque: the complete route

All Trambus units are 100% electric, with a range of 270 kilometers, which reduces both environmental pollution and urban noise. A pilot test started in November: the first units run a similar route to line 34, sharing some stretches along Juan B. Justo Avenue.
Trambus in Buenos Aires: Intelligent traffic lights and faster trips
One of the key points of the Trambus is its synchronized green wave system. Through telemetry, the traffic lights detect the arrival of the unit and extend the green light until the vehicle crosses the intersection. This gives priority to public transport and shortens travel times.
Stops will be located every 500 meters, and thanks to this scheme, a trip that today can take more than an hour and a half can be done in less than an hour. At peak hours, a frequency of four minutes is expected.
Key connections to subway, trains and Metrobus
The Trambus T1 is not only going to link Nueva Pompeya with Aeroparque in a single route, but it is also going to work as a great connection node because it is going to allow you to combine with:
👉 Subway lines A, B, D, E and H.
👉 Mitre, San Martín, Sarmiento and Belgrano Sur railroads.
👉Metrobus del Sur and Metrobus Juan B. Justo.
In addition, it is going to have integrated fare with the Subte and an automatic discount if you use both. Looking ahead to 2026, more than 70 stops are planned to be built along the Trambus circuit. Eleven of these stops will have special services such as bicycle storage spaces, lockers, and pick-up points for shipments.
