Museum Night is one of the most eagerly anticipated cultural events of the year in Buenos Aires, as hundreds of the city’s museums, landmark buildings, and cultural venues open their doors for free so you can visit them at night. And one of our most iconic and beautiful buildings is part of this very special night. This Museum Night 2026—more specifically, on the night of Saturday, November 14—you can tour the Teatro Colón for free and well into the early hours of the morning.
If you’ve always dreamed of walking through the corridors of one of the world’s most important opera houses when the moon comes out, now is your chance—because the Teatro Colón will be open from 11:45 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
How to Visit the Teatro Colón in the Early Morning for Free
On November 14, you’ll be able to visit the Teatro Colón in the early morning hours on a self-guided tour lasting approximately 15 minutes. As you walk through its halls, you’ll come across various artistic installations created especially for the occasion. And if you’d like to take home a souvenir, the theater’s official gift shop will remain open throughout the early morning hours with special discounts.

Since this is a free event with no advance reservations required, admission will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend being patient, as all participating museums and venues will be packed that night.
It’s important to note that this tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility or for those with baby strollers. Food and drinks are also not allowed inside, and there will be no coat check available, so travel light.
The “B-Side”: Colón Fábrica is also joining in

If you want to start the night earlier or are fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes, there’s an ideal complementary activity: Colón Fábrica, the warehouse located in the Arts District where the original sets, props, and costumes from major productions are on display, is also open for Museum Night. In this case, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
